Upper Marlboro, MD – June 21, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, Amber Wood, NAHB Research Center manager of energy programs, will host a “HowTo” webinar on GreenExpo365.com at 1:00 p.m. Eastern (10:00 a.m. Pacific). During the one-hour “How To Identify and Resolve Reoccurring Issues in High Performing Homes” session, Wood will cover many of the lessons learned through the Research Center’s extensive field experience with builders across the country and its role as a Building America team. The free session is eligible for AIA learning units and other continuing education credits.
High performing homes can be complex to design and build, and require a much greater attention to detail than typical construction. They require builders to manage the entire integrated building process, taking account for the performance of the building envelope from wall to wall, ceiling to foundation, and everything in between. Even when builders figure out the best way to construct high performing homes, there are some definite tricks of the trade to avoid common pitfalls along the way. Wood will discuss some of the solutions the Research Center has found that help build these homes right the first time, every time.
Topics will include:
- how reoccurring issues can impact performance and energy efficiency
- how to prioritize multiple issues
- how this identification of issues translates in quality management
- how to solve the issues and gauge success
Space for this webinar is limited, so be sure to click the “Live Webinar” link in the GreenExpo365.com Auditorium early on the event day to lock in your spot! While completely FREE to attend, GreenExpo365 registration is required.
