RI Receives Almost $12.7 Million to Improve Affordable Housing

WASHINGTON DC – July 14, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) today announced that twenty-five Rhode Island cities and towns will receive a total of nearly $12.7 million in federal funding to develop, finance, and/or modernize public housing in their communities. The grants are awarded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Public Housing Capital Fund Program.
