Nixon Peabody Welcomes Experienced Real Estate Attorney from Citigroup; Firm Expands Leading Real Estate Finance Capabilities with New Counsel in New York City

New York, NY – June 13, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Nixon Peabody LLP announces the arrival of Tushna Gamadia who joins the firm’s Real Estate practice group as counsel. Ms. Gamadia, who will be based in the firm’s New York City office, was previously with Citigroup Global Capital Markets.

Ms. Gamadia has more than 10 years of real estate industry experience through her immediate past employment with Citigroup and years with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. Ms. Gamadia focuses her practice on advising clients on real estate industry finance issues such as securitized loans, balance sheet loans, and repurchase facilities. She is also experienced in all aspects of real estate transactions ranging from origination through negotiation and to the closing, and helps clients navigate and negotiate term sheets, coordinate diligence, work with originators, underwriters, and outside counsel to negotiate and document loans.

Ms. Gamadia earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School and served as an editor with the Cornell Law Review. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Middlebury College.
