WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 30, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — As October comes to a close, Urban Compass continues to expand with a big new hire. The five-person Spiegelman-Rothman Team, formerly of Corcoran, has moved to the tech-driven brokerage.

The team, led by Howard Spiegelman and Tim Rothman, includes Sung Cho, Nicole Dayon and Adam Melnick. The team brings 13 active exclusives totaling to almost $20 million.

With over 25 years of combined experience, the two have sold upwards of $100 million in 2012 and 2013, landing them in Corcoran’s prestigious Gold Counsel. The team holds the most transactions in the Turtle Bay Towers–67 sales at $42 million, the most transactions from 2012-2013 at The Harrison, 205 West 76th Street, and holds contracts in some of the most notable developments including 432 Park Avenue, 56 Leonard and The Greenwich Lane.

“We have learned a lot from our tenure at Corcoran, but feel as the industry changes and moves into the future, we need to make a change in our business as well,” Spiegelman and Rothman said in a joint statement. “The move to Urban Compass will enable us to grow our business in new ways. Having the agent support and tech team that comes with Urban Compass behind us will allow us to move in an exciting new direction and enable us to better serve our clients.”

“The Spiegelman-Rothman team represents true excellence in brokerage. They have achieved a tremendous amount in their years in the industry and have built a forward-thinking, innovative and hugely successful business,” CEO of Urban Compass, Robert Reffkin, said. “We look forward to working with the Spiegelman-Rothman team and helping fuel their growth.”
