Realtor® Broker Summits to Concentrate on Management and Technology in 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 16, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — As small business owners, real estate brokers must stay ahead of cutting-edge marketing and management practices. That is why the National Association of Realtors® is inviting brokers from across the country to attend 2015 Realtor® Broker Summit events and learn from broker panels and industry leaders about the latest tools and trends affecting the industry and Realtor® businesses.

“Real estate brokers are entrepreneurs and require specific management skills in addition to real estate expertise to run their businesses and help their agents thrive,” said NAR President Chris Polychron, executive broker with 1st Choice Realty in Hot Springs, Arkansas. “The NAR Broker Summits continue the ongoing conversation with and support for our broker members to provide the insights and peer discussions they need to be successful in today’s market.”

This year, three summits will take place in Seattle and Charlotte, North Carolina and are scheduled for mid-August and late-September, respectively. The events will include panels and presentations covering topics such as agent acquisition and retention, growth strategies, risk management, and legislative and legal updates. The summits will also include a Power Broker Roundtable panel presented by RISMedia. Realtor.com® will serve as the exclusive portal sponsor for the 2015 Realtor® Broker Summits.

“After the overwhelming success of last year’s Broker Summit, we knew we needed to expand in 2015,” said Polychron. “Not only will NAR offer three Broker Summits this year and increase attendee capacity at each, but one will be dedicated entirely to technology.”

The Broker Tech Edge Summit in Seattle will be done in collaboration with NAR’s Tech Edge program and e-PRO®, a certification to help Realtors® stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends that can help them grow their business and better serve their clients. Technology experts will cover the latest tech trends and topics ranging from data security to SEO and mobile marketing.

Registration for the Broker Summit events will open in mid-April. Additional details will be posted in the coming weeks at www.realtor.org/brokersummit.

The National Association of Realtors®, “The Voice for Real Estate,” is America’s largest trade association, representing 1 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
