Turner Construction Company Recognized as the Leading Green Builder in the United States

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 3, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce that Engineering News-Record’s annual Green Sourcebook recognizes Turner as the number one green builder in the country, performing more than $5.4 billion in green work in 2014. This figure represents the efforts of approximately 20,000 workers completing more than $100 million in sustainable construction every week.

In addition to the top honor, Turner was ranked first in the construction of sustainable healthcare, education, manufacturing and industrial, and sports and entertainment facilities, second in commercial spaces, and fourth in multi-unit residential spaces.

Notable recent green projects include Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, California, The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, New York, the Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and the Bell Helicopter Headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.
