NAHB Professional Women in Building Names Annemarie Mitchell as Member of the Year

Washington, D.C. – January 22, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Annemarie Mitchell, president and CEO of Legacy Timber Frames in Stillwater, N.Y., has been honored as the Member of the Year for the Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Professional Women in Building members work in all aspects of the building industry—as owners, builders, remodelers, architects, suppliers, marketing experts, designers and in finance and real estate.

Mitchell was instrumental in forming a local PWB council at the Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association (CRBA), and served as the chairperson for the council for four years. More recently she served as president of CRBA for two years and she remains a very active member in both the local and state associations. She has received the CRBA Builder of the Year Award and the Three-Legged Stool Award from the New York State Builders Association honoring her commitment to the building industry at the local, state and national levels.

Mitchell also serves as the chair of the NAHB PWB area trustees committee and coordinates outreach efforts that support and bridge local and national endeavors.

Mitchell has dedicated her time and resources to several community development projects and community service organizations, including donating the labor to make the timber frame portion of the bridge for the historic Lock 19 project, volunteering on an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition project, participating in a support group for cancer survivors and patients, and many others.

“Annemarie’s enthusiasm and dedication to her local PWB and the national council has greatly contributed to their success,” said 2015 NAHB PWB Chair Carole Jones, who presented the award during the 2016 NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. “We are extremely proud of Annemarie for all she had done and continues to do for our association.”
