LISC Boston’s Green Retrofit Initiative Announces Funding for Multifamily Affordable Housing Owners

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 5, 2016) – (RealEstateRama) — With a grant from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, LISC Boston’s Green Retrofit Initiative will provide two statewide funding opportunities for multifamily affordable housing owners.

LISC will offer up to 24 Comprehensive Energy Audits at no cost for multifamily affordable housing projects approaching rehab to help owners achieve deep energy savings and integrate renewable energy technologies. Applications for these audits are open and will be considered on a rolling basis with audits expected to begin in September. If possible, please submit an application as soon as possible.

The grant will also allow LISC to focus on Renewable Technology Retrocommissioning. LISC will provide free technical assistance for 15 projects to identify solutions for affordable housing developments with existing, underperforming renewable technology systems. Once a fix is identified for the underperforming renewable technology, LISC Boston will provide a partial funding match for implementation. The retrocommissioning application deadline is August 31, 2016.
