Please Support Families Affected by Cambridge Fire at Just-A-Start Affordable Housing Development

-

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — On December 3, a devastating fire damaged and destroyed many homes in Cambridge.  Just-A-Start, our partner in affordable housing and community development, owns St. Patrick’s Place, an affordable housing development that was damaged by the fire. Unfortunately, 32 families living in this development were affected, many of whom lost everything in the fire.

The residents who lost their homes have been provided with temporary accommodations at local hotels, with as many details covered as possible, e.g. school buses are picking up students to make sure they get to their classes; food is being provided; etc. JAS is working with the City of Cambridge to find permanent homes for all individuals and families as quickly as we can, and we will continue to provide updates.

To help these families, JAS has established the St. Patrick’s Fund.  If you would like to donate, please click here(link is external). To direct the donation to the St. Patrick’s Fund, please follow the instructions on the page and when you get to the “Custom Question” section, please choose “St. Patrick’s Fund” from the dropdown menu of Program options.

Thank you for your support for the families and for Just-A-Start affected by this tragedy.
