Energy Case Developments, Non-Bankruptcy Alternatives to Restructuring Student Loans and Lessons Learned from Caesars Among the Topics to Be Addressed at ABI’s 35th Annual Spring Meeting in April

Alexandria, Va. – (RealEstateRama) — The American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) 35th Annual Spring Meeting is set to take place April 20-23 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. ABI’s largest annual conference features timely concurrent sessions tailored for practitioners in both large and small commercial cases, as well as consumer bankruptcy. The conference will feature the 21st Annual Great Debates, which will look at third-party litigation financing, good-faith transferee defenses and cases before the Supreme Court. The featured keynote speaker is Spencer Abraham, former U.S. Senator and former U.S. Secretary of Energy. In addition, bankruptcy judges will delve into top bankruptcy issues and court decisions in a highly anticipated session. Up to 15.5/19 hours of CLE/CPE are available, along with ethics credit totaling 2.25/2.5 hours.
