“This new NAR survey only confirms what we’ve believed for a long time, consumers are not only concerned about the price and size of a home, agents who are able to highlight energy efficiency and smart home features will win the listing,” said Ameeta Jain, Co-Founder of Homeselfe®RE. “Other industry studies also show that listings providing energy costs, sell faster and for more. This is why many MLSs across the country are now including such data sets in all their listings.”

The NAR survey of nearly 55,000 brokers and agents in all regions of the country was conducted in February and demonstrates that the real estate marketplace is shifting toward a greater awareness of sustainability.
• 71% said energy efficiency promotion in listings was very or somewhat valuable
