-

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 29, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — On July 23-25, 2013, Enterprise Community Partners will conduct a two-and-a-half-day Affordable Housing Design Leadership Institute (AHDLI) in Chicago. The goal of the Institute is to enhance the capacity of front-line design and development leaders to produce more livable, sustainable and resource-efficient housing for low- and moderate-income people living in the United States. This annual event is the only national forum to share best practices of affordable housing design and is quickly becoming the foremost training and networking opportunity for affordable housing developers to address design and sustainability challenges.

The AHDLI will bring together a Design Resource Team, comprised of seven leading design innovators, and a Development Team, comprised of affordable housing developers from both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. The two teams will collaborate to solve specific, real-world challenges presented by affordable housing projects. The selected development projects must pose design challenges and lend themselves to constructive advice from the participants in the Institute.

Affordable housing developers can submit proposals on line by April 26.
