BOST ANNOUNCES GRANT AWARD FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO MADISON CO. INDUSTRIAL PARK

Washington, D.C. – October 1, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Rep. Mike Bost (IL-12) announced a grant award to the Industrial Park Rail Track in Granite City. The grant from the Department of Commerce will provide infrastructure improvements at America’s Central Port District in Madison County.

“This grant not only improves infrastructure at the Granite City facility, it will also create more than 230 good-paying jobs and promote economic development in Madison and St. Clair counties,” said Rep. Bost. “This is a win for the Metro East economy and an important link between local manufacturers and America’s rail system.”

The Economic Development Administration grant totals $6.5 million and will provide construction and rehabilitation of 7,300 feet of rail track at America’s Central Port District’s intermodal industrial park.
