CampusMBA Extends Partnership with Insurance Advisors to Offer Live Online Workshops for Commercial/Multifamily Professionals

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 18, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — CampusMBA, the award-winning education division of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), today announced it has extended its partnership with Stamford, Connecticut-based Insurance Advisors LLC. Under the agreement, CampusMBA, in conjunction with Insurance Advisors, will offer live online workshops addressing insurance issues for commercial/multifamily real estate loans.

Each workshop will cover both broad topics as well a specific issues that industry professionals face on a daily basis. The workshops are designed to provide practical information that is useful to commercial/multifamily loan originators and underwriters, loan closers, drafting attorneys and loan servicers.

The next workshop, which will be held today, will be led by Bernie Brown, President of Insurance Advisors and he will be joined by outside expert panelists. Participants will learn about Tenant Provided Insurance. The webinar is a 75 minute program that will help lending and servicing personnel better understand the issues surrounding tenant provided insurance. Among the specific issues that will be addressed are:

• Reviewing tenant leases;
• Comparing tenant-provided insurance to lender requirements;
• Use of self insurance by tenants;
• Credit ratings of tenants and their influence upon self insurance;
• Supplementing tenant insurance; and
• Obtaining evidence of insurance from tenants
