Linigers To Receive 2011 Founders Award for Inspiring RE/MAX Contributions of Over $100M

DENVER, CO – October 19, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The founders of the most recognized real estate franchise in the world, RE/MAX, LLC, are being honored by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® for their dedication to helping children, a dedication that has inspired more than $100 million in total contributions to the nonprofit organization.

Dave and Gail Liniger founded the now global real estate company 38 years ago and made a commitment early on to give back. In 1992, the Linigers and RE/MAX Associates created a partnership that has been of one of the most impactful in CMN Hospitals’ history. And for that reason, the Linigers are the distinguished recipients of the 2011 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Founders Award.

“Nearly 20 years ago, we decided to align with an organization that cares about families as much as RE/MAX agents do,” said Gail Liniger.  “Children’s Miracle Network was doing amazing things for sick children and their families, and we just had to be a part of it. We’re very proud of the way RE/MAX people have worked so hard for kids in their communities.”

The Linigers will be honored at the 2011 Children’s Miracle Awards on Oct. 22 in Orlando, FL. Only five other individuals have received the award which recognizes North America’s greatest leaders, from board members to hospital CEOs to fundraising experts.

“In 1983, our organization’s founders envisioned a vast network of caring business leaders, community partners and everyday heroes working together to help kids in need,” said John Lauck, President and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Dave and Gail Liniger embody that vision, and their actions no doubt inspire RE/MAX employees to do the same. We are proud to honor the example they’ve set.”

“While the Linigers are honored to be recognized, it’s the work of the entire RE/MAX Network that makes the Linigers most proud,” said Mike Reagan, Senior Vice President, Business Alliances. “Each year, RE/MAX offices and agents across North America and beyond host annual events like golf tournaments, RE/MAX hot air balloon festivals and motorcycle rides, which have generated a significant amount of donations.”

In addition, in 1992, RE/MAX launched The Miracle Home® Program, through which RE/MAX agents can make regular pledges on behalf of buyers and sellers through the sale of a home. For agents who are committed to their local communities, the value of the partnership is that 100 percent of their donations benefit their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
