“Desserts and Discussion” in Richmond to Focus on Virginia Wetlands and Clean Water

RICHMOND, VA – February 18, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is hosting a “Desserts and Discussion” talk on February 25, featuring a conversation about the importance of wetlands to clean water.

Leading the discussion will be Joe Morina, a graduate student at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Biology Department. He will be speaking about the ecology of wetlands, how they affect water quality, wetland loss in Virginia, and how wetlands are expected to respond to climate change.

The February 25 “Desserts and Discussion” event will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Second Floor Conference Room at CBF’s Richmond Office, 1108 E. Main Street in Richmond. The event is free and open to the public, but attendees are encouraged to bring a dessert to share. A prize will be awarded to the best treat.
