Energy & Water Bill Puts Jobs & Economic Growth First

WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 1, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) released the following statement praising House passage of the energy & water appropriations bill (H.R. 2028):

“Every taxpayer dollar the government spends should reflect the priorities of the hardworking Americans who earned it, and the energy and water bill does just that.  It puts jobs and economic growth first by maintaining the ports and waterways critical to facilitating commerce and increasing U.S. competitiveness.  It also does so by advancing an all-of-the-above energy agenda to help create jobs, address costs for middle-class families, and enhance our energy security.  And it puts our national security first by ensuring the safety and reliability of our nuclear arsenal in the face of numerous threats worldwide.  With economic growth uneven at best, it’s more imperative than ever that we focus on common-sense solutions that will help create more jobs, strengthen the economy, and increase opportunities for all Americans.  I commend the committee for producing a strong, bipartisan measure that meets that standard.”
