FHFA EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT ON GSE CHATTEL LOAN PILOTS

-

WASHINGTON, DC – (RealEstateRama) — Earlier today, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced that it would extend the comment period for public input regarding Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pilot initiatives that promote financing for manufactured housing loans titled as personal property, or chattel loans. The extension moves the deadline for public input from February 17, 2017 to March 21, 2017.

As NCSHA previously reported when FHFA first announced it would be seeking comments from the public on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac chattel loan pilot initiatives, NCSHA is reviewing the request to determine whether to submit comments on behalf of all HFAs. If you have any input on this issue you would like NCSHA to consider, please email Greg Zagorski by Friday, March 10.
