FIFTEEN COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES WIN THE OUTSTANDING BUILDING OF THE YEAR® AWARDS

BOMA International Honors Excellence in Commercial Real Estate

LOS ANGELES – July 1, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The commercial real estate industry honored 15 commercial properties with The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY®) Awards last night at the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International’s annual conference, the 2015 BOMA International Conference & Expo in Los Angeles.

The TOBY Awards are the commercial real estate industry’s highest recognition honoring excellence in commercial building management and operations in specific categories of building size or type. To win an International TOBY Award, a property first must win both local and regional competitions. Judging is based on community impact, tenant/employee relations programs, energy management systems, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, building personnel training programs and overall quality indicators. A team of expert industry professionals also conducted comprehensive building inspections.

The following properties were honored with 2015 TOBY Awards:

In the Corporate Facility category, the winner is Hunt Corporate Headquarters in Dallas. The building is owned by Hunt Consolidated, Inc. and managed by Hunt Office Management, Inc.

In the Earth category, the winner is World Exchange Plaza in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The building is owned by bcIMC Realty Corporation and managed by Bentall Kennedy (Canada) LP.

In the Government Building category, the winner is Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in Detroit. The property is owned by and managed by Hines/Porcher.

In the Historical Building category, the winner is 230 Park Avenue in New York. The property is owned by Invesco/Monday Properties and managed by Monday Properties Services.

In the Industrial Office Building category, the winner is Rangewinds Business Park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The property is owned by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and managed by Bentall Kennedy (Canada) LP.

In the Medical Office Building category, the winner is Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Plaza 4 in Houston. The property owned by Memorial Hermann Health Systems and managed by Transwestern.
In the Renovated Building category, the winner is Preston Commons in Dallas. The property is owned by KBS Realty Advisors and managed by CBRE.

In the Retail Building category, the winner is Bramalea City Centre in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The property is owned and managed by Morguard Investments Ltd.

In the Suburban Office Park Low-Rise category, the winner is Kilroy Centre Del Mar in San Diego. The property is owned and managed by Kilroy Realty Corporation.

In the Suburban Office Park Mid-Rise category, the winner is Tollway Plaza in Dallas. The property is owned by CBRE Global Investors and managed by CBRE.

In the buildings Under 100,000 Square Feet category, the winner is M@dison Theatre Building in Detroit. The property is owned by Madison Theatre Building, LLC and managed by Bedrock Real Estate Services.

In the 100,000 to 249,999 Square Feet category, the winner is Creve Coeur Center IV in Creve Coeur, Missouri. The property is owned by I&G Direct Real Estate 18, LP and managed by DTZ.

In the 250,000 to 499,999 Square Feet category, the winner is 17Seventeen McKinney in Dallas. The property is owned by Granite Properties/Met Real Estate and managed by Granite Properties.

In the 500,000 to One Million Square Feet category, the winner is 20 Queen Street West in Toronto. The property is owned by ONTREA Inc. and managed by the Cadillac Fairview Corporation Ltd.

In the Over One Million Square Feet category, the winner is Capella Tower in Minneapolis. The property is owned by Minneapolis 225 Holdings LLC and managed by Ryan Companies US, Inc.
