March 16, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — The Foreclosure-Response.org team— the Center for Housing Policy, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and the Urban Institute—has released the newest data on seriously delinquent mortgages for all 366 U.S. metro areas as of September 2011.

Foreclosure-Response.org’s quarterly data on seriously delinquent mortgage rates—defined as the percentage of home loans currently in the foreclosure process plus the percentage of loans more than 90 days delinquent—provides a strong indicator of the number of foreclosures likely to enter the market in the coming months. Data are available at the metro area level and compared to earlier data for change over time. Metropolitan area foreclosure rates are also available.

The data is available at http://www.foreclosure-response.org/maps_and_data/metro_delinquency_data_September2011.html. Please email Blake Warenik at for more information.
