GPO is looking for a way to offer the property for commercial development while continuing to provide parking for employees who work around the clock to produce the Government information products needed by Congress, Federal agencies, and the public. Located within the North of Massachusetts Avenue (NOMA) Business Improvement District, GPO’s parking lot property is made up of two parcels immediately behind its central office complex, bounded by New Jersey Avenue and H and G Streets NW and directly across the street from one of the District’s new Walmart stores. GPO will submit the plan prepared by CBRE to Congress for approval to proceed with development. The time frame for the development of the proposed plan is estimated at six months.
