Multiple sessions examined global real estate trends, including “Long Distance Relationships: How to Reach, Market & Close Global Business,” which included Maria Babaev, managing director of Laffey Fine Homes Real Estate; Jonathan Cooper, vice president of operations of Macdonald Realty Group; and Chuck Garrett, COO of Kahala Associates.
Exploring the Asian market, Caron Ling, Realtor at CRS Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers, and Michi Olson, vice president Relocation & Business Development of Alain Pinel Realtors, participated in “Culture Clash? The Ins and Outs of Successfully Working with Asian Buyers.” Gary Gold, EVP of Hilton & Hyland, and Pam O’Connor, president/CEO of LeadingRE, also focused on this market segment with their presentation “Opportunity Knocking: The State of the Asian Real Estate Market.”
Addressing key broker topics, Robert J. Bailey, broker-president of Bailey Properties Inc., discussed “How to Get From 900 to 200 MLSs,” and Debbie Lewandowski, director of First Team Estates, provided commentary on “Broker as Investor: Tearing Down the Old Broker/Agent Relationship.”
Helen Hanna Casey, president of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, spoke on “Ending the Broker/MLS Standoff,” while Jennifer Warden, president of Baird & Warner Residential Real Estate, shared insights on “Building a World Class Operation.” Jon Coile, CEO and president of Champion Realty, Inc., took part in “Ringleading at the Syndication Circus: Not Just Another Syndication Panel.”
Focusing on hot market trends, Cindy Ariosa, senior vice president with Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., explored “Off Market Listings – Passing Phase or Business Evolution?”, and Andrea Ballesteros, an agent with First Team Estates, offered insights on “How to Close Deals in Today’s Market.”
