McHose’s ‘Buy American’ Resolution Approved by General Assembly

National -

“Buy American!” That is the powerful message of a resolution sponsored by Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose that today was approved by the General Assembly.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 07, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — “Despite the common sentiment that ‘nothing is made here anymore,’ American workers are manufacturing high-quality, safe and ecologically sensitive products. When consumers search for and purchase American-made products, they are making a statement that America still matters, and Americans still matter,” said McHose, R-Sussex, Warren and Morris.

The bill, AR-29 emphasizes the critical role of manufacturing jobs in New Jersey, helping to sustain the state’s economy and individual families.

In the resolution, McHose notes that manufacturing has steadily declined in New Jersey and across the country. The economic slump compounded the problem, eliminating well-paying American jobs as production has moved outside the country.

“By buying products ‘Made in America,’ we are supporting American workers, helping feed their families, heat their homes and pay their mortgages,” said McHose. “It is easiest and most effective stimulus plan for our domestic economy.”
