NAHB Professional Women in Building Council Announces Awards and Scholarships

WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 14, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council honored outstanding members with scholarships and awards at the 58th annual PWB Spike Club Reception last month at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. Members who exceeded recruitment expectations in 2012 were awarded scholarships that their local councils will use to provide financial assistance to students pursuing degrees relevant to the building industry.

“It’s an honor to recognize these award winners for their outreach efforts in recruiting new members to the PWB Council,” said 2012 PWB Chair Alicia Huey, who presented the awards. “It is important to share with women in the industry the valuable programs that the council provides, including education, training and networking opportunities.”

A leader on the local and national level, Jones received a recognition pin from the women’s council and a scholarship to be distributed to students in her local community.
