NAIOP Research Foundation Announces Officers for 2015-2016

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 20, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The NAIOP Research Foundation has appointed officers for 2015-2016. The officers lead the Board of Trustees for the Foundation, whose mission is to build better communities through practical research and education that advances the quality and makes evident the benefits of commercial real estate development across North America.

Appointed Leadership:

Chairman Ralph Heins co-founded Primera Companies in 1989 and serves as president. Primera Companies is a 3.5 million square foot industrial and office company whose portfolio is based in Dallas, Texas. He has been a member of NAIOP since 1992, and serves as chair of the Foundation’s Fundraising Committee and the Foundation’s Research Committee. Heins is also a NAIOP-PAC Trustee and current member of NAIOP’s Family Owned Business National Forum.

Vice Chair Bill Hunt is president of the Elmhurst Group, a Pittsburgh-based organization that invests in commercial real estate and operating businesses. Hunt joined NAIOP in 1994 and was the 2012 chairman of the NAIOP’s Corporate Board of Directors. He is a former chairman and member of the Government Affairs Committee and a past president of NAIOP Pittsburgh. He also served on the Nominating Committee. He is a current member of the NAIOP Audit Committee and Private Developers I National Forum, and a NAIOP-PAC Trustee.

Secretary/Treasurer Jack Schultz is founder and CEO of Agracel, Inc., an industrial development firm focused on development in rural America. Schultz is the author of “Boomtown USA: The 7 ½ Keys to Big Success in Small Towns” published in early 2004. He has been a member of NAIOP since 1995. He is a past member of the National Forums Advisory Committee and currently serves on the Strategic Planning Committee. Schultz is the current chair for the Research Foundation’s Research Committee, Foundation Trustee and head of the Industry Trends Task Force. He is also is a member of the Private Developers III National Forum.
