Real Estate Mortgage Network, Inc., Hires Nationally Known Renovation Lending Expert to Lead New Office in Richmond, VA

Richmond, VA – January 10, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Real Estate Mortgage Network, Inc. (REMN), one of the largest privately held non-bank lenders in the US, continues to expand its South Atlantic presence with a new office in Richmond, VA. Led by Branch Manager Lindy Pond, a nationally recognized renovation lending expert, this new REMN office will provide Central Virginia home buyers, home owners and real estate professionals with the high levels of quality and customer service that REMN is known for nationwide.

While Pond’s focus with REMN is on Richmond and the surrounding areas, she has previously held national renovation program manager positions with three of the top lenders in the country, leading each to record-breaking production numbers. With nearly 20 years of mortgage industry experience, one of Pond’s primary goals in her new role with REMN in Richmond is to help educate first-time home buyers on the opportunities that renovation lending can provide them.

REMN is well regarded in the mortgage industry for championing the field of renovation lending. A renovation loan, such as an FHA 203(k), allows a homebuyer to purchase a home and include additional money for upgrades and repairs. For existing homeowners, renovation loans can also be used for refinancing in order to make modifications and improvements. Improvements can include such things as painting, roof repairs, kitchen upgrades and updates to HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. A renovation mortgage can also be used for major home improvements, such as home additions.

Many lenders do not to offer renovation mortgages because of the complexity of the process. To make the renovation lending process as easy as possible for all parties involved, REMN has an in-house Renovation Concierge Service, which utilizes a dedicated support team, so everything stays on track.

“I’m very excited to work with a company that believes so strongly in renovation lending and grow its awareness in the Richmond area. Renovation mortgages represent a great opportunity for first-time homebuyers to purchase properties at an affordable and realistic cost. They are really the ideal product for our time, giving buyers the means to both purchase a property and turn it into exactly the dream home they want,” commented Pond.

REMN’s commitment to quality and customer service has helped it to become one of the largest privately held mortgage lenders in the US. In 2012, REMN opened more than 40 retail branches, bringing the company’s total number of offices to more than 80. REMN currently employs more than 1,200 associates across its wholesale and retail divisions and will be looking to hire mortgage professionals for the new REMN Richmond location.

A graduate of the University of Mary Washington, Pond has been working in the mortgage industry since 1994. After growing up in Winchester, Pond relocated to Virginia Beach before eventually making her home in the Richmond area with her children.

REMN’s new Central Virginia office is located at 4870 Sadler Road, Suite 383
Glen Allen, VA, 23060. Those looking to schedule an appointment to meet with Pond or another REMN associate can do so by calling the office at (804) 482-0606 or by sending an email to .
