Scheduled Power Outage Planned Friday Morning to Repair Electrical Equipment

30-minute interruption affecting 2,300 Benzie County customers

WASHINGTON, D.C. — (RealEstateRama) — A 30-minute power outage is scheduled Friday morning in and around the village of Benzonia, affecting 2,367 residential and commercial customers.

The outage is necessary adjust electrical substation equipment related to recent and ongoing system upgrades. The outage area is within the Benzie County townships of Benzonia, Weldon, Joyfield, Lake, Crystal Lake and Blaine. The general boundaries include Joyfield Road to the south, Paul Rose Road to the west, Weldon Road to the east and Crystal Avenue to the north.

Consumers Energy has notified customers by post card of the scheduled outage, which is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. and last approximately 30 minutes. Outage updates will be available online at www.ConsumersEnergy.com/OutageMap .
