Tours to Follow Ribbon Cutting of the 22,000-SF Equine Referral and Specialty Center
WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 6, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, along with Racebrook Capital Advisors, LLC, will host the official opening of Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists on Wednesday, May 7th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, at 111 Plainfield Avenue in Elmont, NY. Tours will follow a ribbon cutting and remarks by Dr. Michael I. Kotlikoff, Austin O. Hooey Dean of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University; Dr. Alan Nixon, Chief Medical Officer at Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists; and Mr. John J. Cuticelli, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Racebrook Capital Advisors, LLC.
Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine signed a lease-buy agreement with Racebrook to operate the 22,000-square-foot equine referral and specialty center located opposite the backstretch of historic Belmont Park. It is staffed by world-renowned Cornell veterinarians, including Drs. Norm Ducharme, Lisa Fortier and Alan Nixon, and provides state-of-the-art surgical, imaging, diagnostic and rehabilitation services to enhance equine health.
Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is advising Racebrook affiliate ARK Development, LLC on its development of The ARK at JFK, a comprehensive multi-purpose animal handling and air cargo facility at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The ARK at JFK will be the world’s only animal terminal and the first USDA-approved, full-service 24-hour privately owned airport quarantine facility for the import and export of horses, pets, birds, exotic/zoo animals and livestock.
