SIPA Announces Call for Entries for Building Excellence Awards Competition

-

The Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) is now accepting entries for the sixth annual Building Excellence Awards.  This unique competition recognizes the exceptional projects that SIPA members build with energy efficient structural insulated panels (SIPs).

The awards competition gives SIPA members an opportunity to display their best projects and gain valuable public exposure. All projects that use SIPs for a minimum of 50% of the building envelope and were completed in 2007 are eligible.  Awards will be given for each of the following categories:

• Single Family Homes over 3,000 sq. ft.
• Single Family Homes under 3,000 sq. ft.
• Multi-Family Commercial Buildings
• Agricultural Structures
• Commercial/Industrial/Institutional Structures

Winning entries will be announced at the Building Excellence Awards Luncheon on March 19 at the 2008 SIPA Annual Meeting & Conference, in New Orleans, Louisiana.  In addition to receiving a customized plaque, competition winners will have their projects posted on the SIPA website, announced in SIPA’s quarterly newsletter, and promoted in press releases to external media.  Many of the 2007 Building Excellence Award recipients were featured in Building Systems magazine and eco-structure magazine.
