COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 15, 2015) – October 15, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR), in partnership with the National Association of REALTORS® is offering assistance to South Carolina’s flood victims through the REALTORS® Relief Foundation. The foundation is providing mortgage or rent relief up to $1,000 to those who qualify.

The relief is available to South Carolina residents who have suffered property damage to their primary residence as a result of the severe flooding event that took place in October 2015. Assistance is available to qualified applicants for either monthly mortgage expense for the primary residence or cost of temporary shelter due to displacement from the primary residence resulting from the October 2015 floods. Assistance is limited to $1,000 per applicant and one grant per residence. The deadline for application submission is November 30, 2015.

“Realtors® want to help – it’s what we do in our communities every day. This grant will provide short-term assistance with mortgage or rent payments and allow victims to focus on rebuilding and repairing their homes,” said SCR 2015 President Fritzi Barbour.

There are limited funds and applications will be processed on a first come basis. Anyone can apply for the grants, and anyone can donate to the RRF. Click here or visit screaltors.org/relief.
