Morristown, NJ – August 12, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The Hampshire Companies, a full service, private real estate investment firm with equity in assets valued at more than $2.5 billion, has unveiled its newly renovated company headquarters located at 22 Maple Avenue in Morristown, N.J., which will house the company’s investment and finance platform, and has announced the addition of five new staff members. Undertaking an approximately year-long renovation, Hampshire transformed the existing space, preserving the original building’s charm and character while creating a sustainable, modern workspace conducive to today’s business environment.

Hampshire partnered with Kohn Pederson Fox, an international architectural firm recognized for design excellence and innovation in its buildings throughout the world, to design the interior of its new headquarters space. The company also engaged DS&D, a building interior solutions company, to implement creative workspace design features including collaborative work stations, inspiring meeting rooms and creative solutions. Designed to foster collaboration and growth, the shared office space features an open, inviting floor plan with 40 work stations. To accommodate staff’s various needs and work styles, the space also features a Town Hall meeting space, two main conference rooms and four meeting rooms, one of which is designated a quiet room, and another designed for smaller conference calls. To provide staff with access to the best resources available, the building is equipped with the latest in technology, including interactive ?no boards from PolyVision and Steelcase media:scapes, and features a full resource room offering a wide range of sources and tools.

In line with Hampshire’s green initiatives, the building will be LEED Silver Certified and is designed to be sensitive to the neighborhood and its surrounding natural environment.

“When we began to develop plans for the new headquarters space, we focused on creative interior solutions that would help us increase productivity, foster collaboration, and increase employee engagement and growth,” said Deborah Imperatore, a Principal of The Hampshire Companies. “The linear space plan we implemented has helped us integrate our platforms and achieve collaboration and process consistency, while also giving our employees the flexibility to work independently or in small groups within a number of alternative rooms depending upon their projects.”

Hampshire moved employees into the completed headquarters space this spring, making a number of staff additions during the process:
