DALLAS – June 30, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regional Administrator Ron Curry and Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler will outline how a $400,000 EPA cleanup grant will help the city address contaminated properties known as brownfields sites.

The briefing will focus on Shreveport’s latest brownfields redevelopment initiative, the Cross Bayou Corridor Project, as well as other cleanup opportunities throughout the city. The funding will help Shreveport assess and clean brownfields sites, which are abandoned properties that are difficult to redevelop because of the presence or potential presence of contamination.
