Faith Schwartz to Lead Company’s Government Solutions Efforts

WASHINGTON, DC – February 26, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — HOPE NOW, the voluntary, private sector alliance of mortgage servicers, investors, mortgage insurers and non-profit counselors, congratulates former Executive Director, Faith Schwartz, on her new role as Senior Vice President of Government Solutions for CoreLogic®.

CoreLogic announced today that Ms. Schwartz will lead and manage the company’s business relationships and execution with U.S. financial regulatory agencies, government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs), and other selected federal agencies.

Ms. Schwartz led HOPE NOW from its inception in 2007 until December of 2012. Eric Selk was named the new Executive Director, effective January 1, 2013, after two years as HOPE NOW’s Deputy Director.

Mr. Selk issued this statement:

“Faith Schwartz lived and breathed HOPE NOW and was a true master at bringing all stakeholders to the table for the sole purpose of creating useful foreclosure prevention tools and improving the communication process.

She was instrumental in bringing together the mortgage industry, non-profit counseling organizations, government agencies, investors and others to manage issues related to foreclosure mediation, military homeowners, streamlined processes and public-private partnerships.

During her tenure at the organization, HOPE NOW’s mortgage servicing members completed over six million loan modifications and managed over 140 borrower outreach events with an attendance of over 105,000 homeowners.

The housing market is better off today than it was five years ago because of her leadership and tireless efforts. While we are sad to see her leave the organization she built from the ground up, we congratulate her on her new role with CoreLogic. It will be my top priority to build on Faith’s great work and continue to reinforce HOPE NOW as the leader in helping the nation’s homeowners find viable mortgage solutions.”

John Dalton, President of Housing Policy Council, added, ““On behalf of the members and staff of the Housing Policy Council, we congratulate Faith Schwartz on her new role with CoreLogic. Faith has provided tremendous leadership to the mortgage industry over the last five years, as HOPE NOW’s Executive Director, and the results are indicative of that hard work. I wish Faith the best of luck in her role and I am certain she will do a superb job.”

HOPE NOW is the industry-created alliance of mortgage servicers, investors, counselors, and other mortgage market participants, brought together by the Financial Services Roundtable, Housing Policy Council and Mortgage Bankers Association, that has developed and is implementing a coordinated plan to help as many homeowners as possible prevent foreclosure and stay in their homes.
