Carole Jones Inducted as the 2015 NAHB Professional Women in Building Council Chair

WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 26, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Carole Jones, CAPS, CGB, CGP, a licensed builder and associate broker from Bloomfield Hills, Mich., was recently sworn in as the 2015 chair of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council.

“The PWB Council is a valuable resource for women in the industry, and I believe that it is stronger now than it’s ever been,” said Jones. “I look forward to keeping that positive momentum going and working with my fellow council members on issues affecting the industry.”

As chair of the PWB Council, Jones will manage the council’s business and represent the interests of the council members throughout NAHB. Her year as national chair is already underway as she has started working toward the goals of recruiting and retaining members.

Jones manages Robert R. Jones Homes, a luxury home building company which she started with her husband 36 years ago. She joined her local PWB council in 1988 and has been involved at the national level for several years. She has served in a number of positions on the NAHB PWB Council, including vice chair in 2014, Area 9 Trustee (2006 through 2007) and as Region C Trustee (2008 through 2014). Jones is also an NAHB Life Director and a member of the NAHB Budget and Finance Committee.

Jones is passionate about membership and has been recognized multiple times as the top recruiter for the council. She recruited 15 new members and re-signed 21 current members in 2014. Throughout her tenure with the council, she has recruited 360 members for PWB.

The PWB Council also recently swore in Cindy Cepko, co-owner of Granite Homes, Inc. in Paupack, Pa., as the council’s vice chair and Region C Trustee. She is also a licensed Realtor and focuses her business on vacation and long-term rentals in the Lake Wallenpaupack area. Cepko joined PWB in 2005 and has served as the NAHB PWB Area 1 Trustee and NAHB PWB Area Trustee Chair.
