WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 04, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Jim Rosten, president of Property Services at global real estate investment and services company Kennedy Wilson, has announced the appointment of James Cain, who joins the company’s property management division as a regional director. Based in the firm’s Austin office, he will be responsible for expanding the firm’s property management program in primary and secondary markets throughout Texas.

“Dallas/Fort Worth and Austin are topping real estate watch lists for 2016 as burgeoning national markets. Now is an opportune time to augment our team to address this market activity,” said Rosten. “James’ in-depth experience in the investing arena—which includes over $4 billion in financing arrangements and management of over 5,000 residential units—provides a strong foundation that will allow us to grow this region.”

Cain joins Kennedy Wilson from Pennybacker Capital, where he worked in asset management as a senior associate, focusing on a 4,500-unit multifamily portfolio. Prior to Pennybacker Capital, he served as vice president of Capmark Finance in New York where he was responsible for the loan workouts, restructuring and disposition of a $425 million portfolio of diverse commercial real estate assets.

He previously worked at AION Partners and in the Commercial Real Estate Finance Group of Credit Suisse.

A graduate of Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in economics-political science, he is also a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
