NAHB Announces Best of 50+ Housing Awards Finalists

WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 24, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has announced the finalists for NAHB’s 2014 Best of 50+ Housing Awards, the premier design and marketing competition for the 50+ housing industry. A total of 63 entries were chosen as finalists and are eligible for either a Gold or Silver Award from NAHB’s 50+ Housing Council.

“We are seeing some really great variety in today’s 55+ housing market—from eclectic urban communities to quaint village settings and everything in between,” said Robert Karen, chairman of NAHB’s 50+ Housing Council and managing member of the Symphony Development Group. “The finalists submitted outstanding work this year, and we are excited to present the award-winning projects in a ceremony at the International Builders’ Show this coming February.”

Finalists were selected from entries in 43 categories representing active adult housing, service-enriched housing, lifestyle and marketing activity. The judges also singled out select entries for Innovation Awards.

From this group of finalists, Gold Award winners will be named at the Best of 50+ Housing Awards presentation on Feb. 5, 2014, during the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas.

NAHB’s 50+ Housing Council launched the Best of 50+ Housing Awards to encourage quality and innovation in the 50+ housing market.
