Justin MacDonald Elected as Chairman of NAHB Multifamily Council

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 19, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced that T. Justin MacDonald of Kerrville, Texas, has been elected as chairman of the NAHB Multifamily Council.

MacDonald is a principal of the MacDonald Companies, a family-owned group of companies primarily focused on developing, constructing and operating multifamily neighborhoods throughout the state of Texas. A third-generation builder and developer, MacDonald puts his own mark on his family’s businesses by overseeing day-to-day operations and regulatory compliance and participating in governmental affairs.

“The multifamily industry plays an integral role in the overall home building industry, and I am proud to represent my fellow multifamily developers as chairman of the council,” said MacDonald. “I look forward to working on the many important issues facing our industry today.”

He is a two-time past president of the Hill Country Home Builders Association, past chairman of NAHB’s Housing Credit Group and currently serves on the boards of directors and executive committees of the Texas Association of Builders, Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers and NAHB.

MacDonald has served on the City Council of the City of Kerrville and Planning and Zoning Commission. He has also served on the board of the Hill Country Home Opportunity Council, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist low-income families achieve the dream of homeownership.

MacDonald holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Angelo State University.
