NAR Names Five 2026 Good Neighbor Award Winners, Each Receiving a $10,000 Grant

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) announced the five winners of its 2026 Good Neighbor Awards, now in their 27th year. The program honors NAR members who make an extraordinary difference in their communities. Each winner, chosen through a multistage, criteria-based judging process, will receive a $10,000 grant and national media exposure for their charity.

  • Shawnee Doherty, Hope Through Hollis Foundation (Phoenix, Arizona): a network of DIPG families and foundations that NAR says has raised nearly $2 million over the past decade for pediatric brain cancer research.
  • Sue Farrell, Boots to Suits (Richmond, Virginia): provides professional clothing to veterans and, according to NAR, has dressed 7,000 veterans across Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.
  • Weston Jenkins, Disabled Outdoorsmen USA (Boerne, Texas): NAR says it has raised more than $2.5 million to send nearly 290 people with disabilities on more than 190 outdoor trips.
  • Jay Miralles, 50 Mile March Foundation (Elkhorn, Nebraska): according to NAR, it has funded more than $800,000 in grants to veteran nonprofits and bought seven acres in Bellevue, Nebraska, for a planned campus with transitional tiny homes and recovery services for veterans.
  • Teresa Renkenberger, Shower Power (Brandon, Mississippi).

NAR President Kevin Brown said the winners saw a need in their communities and built something lasting, and that REALTORS® help build the communities around homes.
