Statement from NAHB Chairman Greg Ugalde on Joint Employer Rule

WASHINGTON, D.C. – RealEstateRama – Greg Ugalde, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a home builder and developer from Torrington, Conn., issued the following statement on the final joint employer rule issued by the U.S. Department of Labor:

“NAHB commends the Department of Labor for issuing a final joint employer rule that provides certainty and clarity in determining joint employer status under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The return to a test that focuses on the potential employer’s actual exercise of control or supervision will have a substantial positive impact on regulated employers and small businesses, including home builders and specialty trade contractors.”
