Comdata launches fundraising effort with the Habitat for Humanity Fuel Card

ATLANTA – June 22, 20016 – (RealEstateRama) — Comdata is launching its new Habitat for Humanity Fuel Card, offering cardholders the opportunity to save money while raising funds for Habitat year-round, as Comdata will donate 1 percent of all card expenses to the nonprofit.

The card will allow Habitat offices and construction professionals to make all of their fuel, material and maintenance purchases with the built-in controls, convenience and savings of Comdata’s Fuel Card platform.

“We are so grateful to Comdata for this unique partnership, said Colleen Finn Ridenhour, deputy director, Corporate, Foundation and Institutional Relations, Habitat for Humanity International. “The Habitat for Humanity Fuel Card will help further our mission to build strong and stable communities as we work to empower more families through shelter.”

New customers are eligible for a $100 activation bonus and can save on fuel and maintenance expenses with Comdata’s retail savings network.

“We are proud to support such a worthy cause and organization,” said Michael Ross, senior vice president, Innovation and Partnership Development, Comdata. “The new Habitat for Humanity Fuel Card leverages our strong history of innovation and partnership in the fleetcard industry to support those businesses that want to help build their communities.”

In addition to this partnership, Comdata recently lent its support to Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders Blitz, a nationwide event where nearly 250 Habitat homeowners partnered with professional builders for one week to build decent and affordable housing.

About Habitat for Humanity International
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity has grown from a grassroots effort that began on a community farm in southern Georgia in 1976 to a global nonprofit housing organization in nearly 1,400 communities across the U.S. and in over 70 countries. People partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
