The CRE® Top Ten Issues Affecting Real Estate Presented at NAR Annual Convention

Chicago – November 9, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — Commercial and residential Realtors® attending the National Association of Realtors convention in Orlando yesterday heard that understanding the most critical issues affecting real estate is essential to best representing clients and maintaining a competitive edge.


Scott R. Muldavin, CRE, chair of the board of The Counselors of Real Estate® professional association, and Peter C. Burley, CRE, chair of The Counselors’ External Affairs Committee, presented the CRE Top Ten Issues Affecting Real Estate 2016-2017–a list developed each year by The Counselors’ External Affairs committee. The Counselors’ 1,100 members around the world undertake a collaborative dialogue on current issues and trends to identify the list.

The changing global economy, debt capital market retrenchment and widespread demographic shifts were noted as having significant impact on real estate in the near-and long-term, representing both risks and corresponding opportunities.
