BOMA International Elects 2015-2017 Executive Committee Members

WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 24, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International elected five Executive Committee members at the 2015 BOMA International Conference & Expo in Los Angeles in late June.

The BOMA International Executive Committee is responsible for developing the strategic direction and policies for the association. Executive Committee members work with BOMA International officers and executive staff to maximize the effectiveness of BOMA International, while ensuring resources are available to achieve its goals. Executive Committee members serve a minimum term of two years.

The Board of Governors of BOMA International elected the following individuals to the Executive Committee:

Shane Baggett, CPA, RPA, General Manager, Crescent Real Estate Equities Ltd., BOMA/Dallas (Second term)
Cary Fronstin, LEED GA, RPA, Associate Director, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Management, BOMA/Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches (Second term)
Lisa Hensley, BOMA Fellow, Director, Property Management, Texas Medical Association, BOMA/Austin
Sheldon Oppermann, Executive Vice President, Compass Properties, LLC, BOMA/Wisconsin (Second term)
Andrew Romerdahl, CCIM, Regional Director, Alaska Region, Providence Health & Services, BOMA/Anchorage
Shane Baggett currently serves as general manager for Crescent Real Estate’s premier property, The Crescent in Dallas. Baggett is a past president of BOMA/Dallas and was named the local association’s Outstanding Member of the Year in 2013. Within BOMA International, Baggett has served on the Finance, State Government Affairs, Government Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committees. This will be his second term on the BOMA International Executive Committee.

Cary Fronstin has more than 20 years of commercial property and asset management experience. As the Associate Director of Property Management, he oversees Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s southeastern portfolio of 7.5 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space. He previously has chaired BOMA International’s Industry Defense Fund Oversight Committee and the BOMAPAC Council. Fronstin is the current president of BOMA/Ft. Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches and a past president of BOMA Florida. This will be his second term on the BOMA International Executive Committee.

Lisa Hensley, BOMA Fellow, has more than 25 years of property management experience and currently serves as the Director of Property Management for the Texas Medical Association. She has been an active BOMA member on the local, regional and international level and is a past president of BOMA/Austin and BOMA Texas. A strong advocate for the commercial real estate industry, Hensley has served on the BOMA International BOMAPAC Council and the BOMA International Government Affairs Committee. She also has served as chair of the BOMA International Nominating Committee.

As the Executive Vice President of Compass Properties, LLC., Sheldon Oppermann and his team oversee roughly one and a half million square feet of commercial real estate. He is a past president of BOMA/Wisconsin, and he serves on BOMA International’s Government Affairs and Asset Management Course Committees and the BOMA 360 Council. One of the buildings in his portfolio, CityCenter at 735 in Milwaukee, won a 2013 International The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY®) Award in the Historical Building category and was the first BOMA 360 building in Wisconsin. This will be Oppermann’s second term on the BOMA International Executive Committee.

Andrew Romerdahl has held positions in the appraisal, development, brokerage, leasing and management of commercial real estate in the Anchorage, Alaska market. In his current position as Regional Director for Providence Health & Services’ Alaska Region, he is oversees approximately two million square feet of commercial property. Romerdahl is the director of the BOMA/Anchorage Board of Directors and past president of the BOMA Pacific Northwest Region
