Farmers Market

Spend your Saturday meandering among local vendors who sell everything from food to handmade crafts. 

The largest outdoor farmers market in western Canada attracts crowds near 20,000 on any given Saturday. There are over 270 vendors for all your shopping needs. 

The market runs from the second Saturday in June and runs every Saturday until the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The market hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

St. Albert Botanic Park

This beautiful garden is maintained by volunteers, an incredible feat considering how much there is to see. 

The five-acre area is divided into the themes of flowering trees, evergreens, xeriscape, cottage-style perennials, and shade. You’ll see everything from roses and peonies to annuals and vegetables. 

Admission is free and the park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. 

Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park

Grab your binoculars, avid bird watchers, as there are over 220 species to spot here. Tundra swans, black terns, yellowlegs, sandpipers – the park has it all. 

Lois Hole sits on the shores of Big Lake, a great place to disconnect from the world and take in all the quiet it has to offer. 

The Enjoy Centre

This unique building is both a garden and functional  event center. Inside you’ll find a cafe, spa bakery, restaurant, and greenhouse. 

You’re both inside and outside at Enjoy, where you can take yoga glasses, have a romantic dinner, or peruse house plants. 

Arden Theatre

The Arden has hosted everyone from Celine Dion and Arlo Guthrie to local dance schools and theatre groups. 

There is something for everyone at this intimate theater, be it a movie night or drag show. 

Art Gallery of St. Albert

You can either view the stunning pieces from afar or get into creating things first hand at the Art Gallery. 

The Gallery features a mix of contemporary and community exhibits, as well as public and educational programs. 

Whether you’re looking to take your children or have an adult night out, you’ll find what you need. 

St. Albert Dinner Theatre

This is the epitome of “dinner and a show,” an immersive experience where you become part of the story. 

This non-profit community theatre has three performances a season, each of which run nine nights.
