CHFA to participate in Governor’s Free Mortgage Assistance Event

November 21, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Connecticut’s distressed homeowners have another opportunity to explore loan modification and foreclosure prevention options with their banks at the free day-long, state-sponosred Mortgage Assistance Event on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Conference Center at CoCo Key in Waterbury.

CHFA staff will be part of the event, working with homeowners who might be eligible for the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) and connecting borrowers with counseling agencies in their area.

This is the fourth mortgage assistance event sponsored by the Governor, Attorney General George Jepsen, and Banking Commissioner Howard Pitkin, who also serves on CHFA’s Board of Directors.
