Washington – RealEstateRama – U.S. Congressman Mike Flood was named by House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry to two subcommittees. They are the Housing & Insurance Subcommittee and the Digital Assets, Financial Technology, & Inclusion Subcommittee.

“Thank you to Chairman McHenry. It’s a significant honor to join these two subcommittees as a part of my work on Financial Services,” said Congressman Flood. “From establishing a commonsense digital asset regulation to ensuring we protect the financial freedom of all Americans, I’m looking forward to contributing to the important policymaking and oversight these subcommittees will lead on in the coming months.”

“I congratulate all of our Republican members on their subcommittee assignments for the 118th Congress,” said Chairman McHenry. “With such a competent and dynamic team, Committee Republicans are ready to hit the ground running with our oversight, opportunity, and innovation agenda. As we work to establish clear rules of the road for the evolving digital asset ecosystem, conduct rigorous oversight of the Biden Administration, enhance capital formation opportunities, and end the politicization of our financial system, their expertise and experience will be invaluable. I look forward to working with this talented group.”

Last week, Congressman Flood was named to the House Financial Services Committee. During his time in the Nebraska Unicameral, Flood successfully led efforts to pass into law the Nebraska Financial Innovation Act, a law establishing regulation of digital assets for state-chartered banks.
