GSA Seeks Ideas for Ronald Reagan Building International Trade Center


WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 23, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) issued a Request for Information (RFI) to tap the expertise of the private sector regarding alternative approaches for operating, managing and maintaining the Ronald Reagan Building International Trade Center (RRB/ITC). Currently, GSA provides management and operation of the ITC through a fixed-price contract with a Trade Center Manager (TCM).

Regional Commissioner for GSA’s Public Buildings Service Darren Blue Says:
“The Ronald Reagan Building is a unique asset in GSA’s building inventory. It is the second largest federal facility in our National Capital Region, and it provides both federal office space and a variety of facilities open to the public. GSA’s goal is to see whether we can find a better way to manage the public-serving portions of the facility.”

  • The RRB/ITC encompasses approximately 4 million gross square feet of mixed-use space including the city’s largest below-grade parking garage that accommodates approximately 1,950 vehicles.
  • It’s the U.S. General Services Administration’s largest building nationwide. It operates 365 days per year, 24 hours per day, seven days per week and welcomes approximately one million visitors each year.
