WASHINGTON – RealEstateRama – The National Housing Conference (NHC), the nation’s oldest and broadest housing coalition, announced today new staff members to its policy team.
Brittany Webb joins NHC as senior policy and research associate. She brings over seven years of affordable housing management experience, starting her career as a leasing assistant at the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit site and then as project manager for the entire portfolio. Brittany helped manage daily operations for various housing programs including HUD, USDA-RD, LIHTC, and local programs. Webb holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University, as well as a Master of Public Policy from American University, with a focus on social policy and housing policy.
“I am honored to be joining NHC during such a critical time for housing policy development,” said Webb. “I believe in the value of policy solutions and look forward to working with NHC to better serve American communities and contribute to a brighter future for all.”
Henry Weiss joined NHC in September 2020 as an intern before assuming the role as policy and research associate in early February. Before interning with NHC, Weiss interned at Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), where he edited CNU’s blog. He also interned at several local political campaigns and district offices, where he focused on fundraising and constituent services. Weiss holds a bachelor’s degree from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
“As a native Washingtonian, I’ve seen firsthand how important housing access is for achieving equity and reducing inequality,” said Weiss. “I’m thrilled to be part of an organization with such a rich history of pushing for the cause of affordable housing at the federal level.”
“NHC is excited to welcome Brittany and Henry to our growing team as we celebrate our 90th anniversary,” said NHC President and CEO David M. Dworkin. “Their experience and energy will be incredibly helpful in our work to shape federal housing policy during this pivotal moment in our history.”
