September Area Housing Permits Highest Since 2008

October 25, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — In cities across the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area, housing production continues to climb in 2012 with the total permit number coming in as the highest since 2008, according to the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City’s (HBA) monthly Residential Building Permit Statistics report. September single family permits increased sharply to 379 over 202 single family permits the same month in 2011. Year to date total permits are the highest in three years with 3,419 permits compared to 2011 with 2,304. In 2008 total number of permits issued year to date was 4,136.
