Seven Tennessee Counties Now Eligible for Additional Categories of FEMA Public Assistance

ATLANTA – RealEstateRama – Local governments and certain nonprofit organizations in seven Tennessee counties affected by the January winter storm are now eligible for additional categories of Public Assistance grants.

Lawrence, Maury, Robertson and Wilson counties are now eligible for debris removal and permanent work to repair damaged public facilities. These counties were previously eligible for emergency protective measures, including direct federal assistance.

Decatur, Dickson and Hardeman counties are now eligible for debris removal. These counties were previously eligible for emergency protective measures, including direct federal assistance.

FEMA’s Public Assistance program reimburses local and state government agencies for the costs of emergency response, debris removal and restoration of disaster-damaged public facilities and infrastructure. Certain nonprofit organizations and houses of worship may also be eligible for assistance.
