JERSEY CITY, N.J., and ATLANTA – July 15, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — TD Ameritrade announced today that it is donating to Habitat for Humanity in 2015 to support its mission of creating safe, decent, affordable housing in partnership with low-income families across the U.S. This is the company’s eighth consecutive year supporting Habitat for Humanity.

In addition, TD Ameritrade employees, clients, families and friends will once again come together to work side by side with eight Habitat partner families to help build or renovate their homes. Activities will include general construction, painting, installing doors, cabinets, drywall and laying flooring. Projects will take place in the following cities:

Denver, Colo.
Chicago, Ill.
Baltimore, Md.
San Diego, Calif.
Newark, N.J.
Orem, Utah
Fort Worth, Texas
Omaha, Neb.
“Our employees have shown an incredible spirit of volunteerism with Habitat for Humanity across the country,” said Katrina Booker, managing director, communications and public affairs. “We have long been committed to enriching the communities where we live and work and are excited to dedicate many more homes in 2015.”

In 2008, TD Ameritrade began working with Habitat for Humanity on a local level by helping build a home with a Habitat partner family in Omaha, Nebraska. Each year, the company allows its employees eight hours of paid time off to volunteer alongside a nonprofit organization to help effect change in their communities. TD Ameritrade employees have helped build more than 25 Habitat homes over the years, helping each family reach their dreams of homeownership.

“We are grateful for organizations like TD Ameritrade, a company that not only supports us on a corporate level, but through the dedicated commitment from its employee volunteers,” said Colleen Finn Ridenhour, deputy director of Corporate, Foundation and Institution Relations for Habitat for Humanity International. “It is because of that we are able to continue our work and further our mission.”

Since 2011, TD Ameritrade employees have volunteered more than 28,000 hours to help build and renovate homes. Last year alone, employees volunteered more than 6,400 hours with Habitat across eight cities.
